Strip Club Defrauds Son Of $53,000, Dad Says

A father wants investigators to pursue fraud and larceny charges against a Panhandle strip club after his son ran up a $53,000 bill in a single night while celebrating his college graduation.Joe Salter, 52, of Mary Esther, told investigators Club 10 employees took advantage of his 24-year-old son, Tommy. The younger Salter was at the club Aug. 18 to celebrate his graduation from Georgia Tech.According to a report from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Salter told employees he could only spend $600. But Club 10 owner Tim Beal said Salter bought at least 19 bottles of champagne -- priced from $150 to $2,000. Beal said Salter signed a receipt for each champagne purchase and even scrawled his initials next to itemized charges. But the elder Salter said only the signature on the first receipt matches his son's.The sheriff's report alleges larceny and credit card fraud.Beal said Salter appeared to know what he was doing throughout the night.''This fellow was lucid,'' Beal said. "He was actually dancing with the manager, Chris, right before he left.''Beal said he had already talked to American Express after Salter filed a complaint with the company, seeking to have part of the charge withdrawn. The company decided in Club 10's favor, he said.

Tuesday

Going into Charleston this morning to promote the party tonight at Surfbar. We have a cruiser bicycle from www.beachbikes.net, Lost T's and drink, 1 mil short sleeves from Body Glove, Etnies shoes, and a bunch of other gear to raffle off tonight so it was easy to get people to come. The party started with The Dirty South 2 Video premier which was great. Featured in the video, NC surfers Rob and Mark who had just left us in OBX after showing us the hot spots ripped in the Wrightsville section. Lots of people showed up to see the video and get a chance to win a bike. Cas, the owner, made us some Costa Rican food which is soooo damn good. You have to stop by if you are in the area. Everyone at the party had a great time and most people left with something to take home since we had lots of gear to give away. Nick made sure everyone had Lost Energy drink, Marcelo made sure all the girls were happy, Shak filmed while Turack MC'd the raffle. . .another sweet event but unfortunately our last of this trip. We had to take Nick to the airport at 5 am so our crew just stayed out all night. . .

Monday

We woke-up to find our epic conditions had fizzled. The off-shore winds that were supposed to clean-up the waves had in-fact blown all night only to flatten the whole sea. It was a lake. . . We decided to get on the road and head back to Charleston/Folly for our party at surfbar on Tuesday.

Sunday

Today we are in Kill Devil Hills all day. The surf is picking up like crazy from Tropical strom Gabriella but too messy with strong currents so we stayed out of the water in hopes that it will clean-up with the help of off-shore winds Monday for some Epic conditoins. In the mean time we are stopping-in some sweet surf shops. Whalebone, Secret spot, WRV, and 158 are all great shops in the area. . . if your in the area ask Ryan from WRV where the surf is.

Saturday

We are in Buxton OBX today. . . the surf is pretty big so we are
trying to find the best spot on the island for waves. Avon Pier was
pretty good but the lighthouse was the best spot. NIck found some
local buddies that surf for Volcom, Mark and Rob, so they showed us the good breaks. Later on we all went out in Nags head to a Bar called Kelly's. It was a funny crowd with an even funnier live band that played Whitesnake covers and the like. NIck found the hottest
dump-truck driver in the world at this place. . . need I say more?

Friday

Nick and Marcelo had a good session in the morning while it was still clean. Check out Hatteras Island Boards and Avon Surf shop if you are in the area. We surfed Buxton, Rodanthe Pier, and the lighthouse all day moving to see where the best waves were. In front of our place seemed to work best. . . which is nice. Dinner at Pops with Mr. D, an international man of intrigue, and then stopped at the Buxton High Friday night football match. We made sure all the cheerleaders, I mean, fans had a Lost Energy Drink.

Thursday

The crew is on the Ocracoke Ferry heading towards the OB looking for surf...Leaving Wrightsville and heading for Buxton OBX. We cruised through Surfcity and Topsail Beach. If you get a chance stop at Jimmy's Doublewide surf shop. . . maybe he will let you roll on the 10,000 sq ft skatebarn he built in the back. We hit up the Ocracoke Ferry to OBX and got into our Buxton beach house late. Hope for waves in the morning.

Wednesday

Wed - Complete beach day in front of the break at Wrightsville. We posted-up the tent, opened the coolers, turned on some music, grabbed our surfboards rocked the beach all day and handed out drinks. Being home-base for a lot of the local surfers attracted the curiosity of lots of beach hotties. We met a bunch of girls and made plans for later in the night. Toni, a transplant from Michigan, hung out. . . .but she annoyed all four of us so we tried to ditch her at the gas station, again in Rum Runners, than again at another bar in Wilmington. Finally we were able to slip away and get back to Wrightville for some late night pizza. Just as we're eating a couple slices Toni walked in out-of-nowhere. Shak and I busted out to leave Marcelo and Nick to deal with that.

Tuesday

Tuesday at Wrightsville Beach , we drove around town stopping at shops and handing out drinks. Shout outs to Chuck at Sweetwater and Mike at Surfcity Surf. We then went to the beach with back packs full of drinks walking up and down the beach showing love to the people that looked stoked on getting some ice-cold Lost drinks. Great dinner at Tower Seven and couple drinks at King Neptune ended the day for our crew in our first day in Wrightsville Beach.

Monday

Spent alot of time here after the all night hijinx...Labor day,  nothing better then some surf and some beach action to cure the hang over, we went to the beach and posted up with the tent and plenty of energy drinks, we made sure everybody got they daily amount of energy to keep the day going. A bunch of cute girls came over to the tent looking for Marcelo after meeting him at the party the night before but he was in the water so Shak and Mike had to keep them busy (no problem). After another day of good beach action with lots of babes, surf, and lost energy drinks we were ready to keep going north and head to our next stop - Wrightsville Beach, NC.

Sunday

Sunday was a full day.  Surf contest at The Washout and party at Barrier Island. We all woke up early and headed down to the Washout, conditions were rough with heavy rain and winds around 9 am so we postponed the contest until 12pm. In the mean time we hung-out under the tent drinking some Lost and chillin' with the locals. By 11am we had about 30 hungry locals waiting to sign up for a chance to win some cash and prizes. 12pm contest is on with some fun waves and no rain the weather turned out to be nice for the second annual HH Lost Energy Drink Folly Beach Surf Contest. Nick and Marcelo judged the event from the pavilion. The format was an expression session so the judges were looking for style and what the riders can do with thewave. It was waist high with occasional chest high sets. Trick sets at the head of the pack included air reverses, ollie to combo, and arial 360's. Solid surfing mixed with tricks is what would ultimately win the cash. The Final Heat included Shawn Ducker, Patrick Evers, Anthony Osment, and Jacob Stackley. In the end it was a close call for the judges. The results were not released until the after party. . . After a great day on the beach everyone was ready for music and bikinis at the after party. Villanova and The Movement kept the crowd busy with infectious jams while the bartenders hooked everyone with killer drinks, the vibe was great. After Villanova rocked the place, the bikini contestants prepared to flaunt their goods. Keeping the crowd waiting for oiled up babes, we announced the winners for the contest.  Jacob, Patrick, and Anthony took 1,2, and 3 in that order and made away with some cash money. Now for the girls! Some of the hottest girls from Charleston and Folly came down to please the crowd and bring the heat up, making the party one of the best of the year (in the words of B.I. owner Wes). Next, The Movement took the stage to play out the night. Shak and Nick were stranded until about 5:AM...

Saturday

We got-up and headed down to Folly surf shop McKevlins to drop off some Lost Energy drinks and check out the scene. We talked of hopes for waves for the contest as it has been pretty flat lately. We needed to see for ourselves so we went down to the washout and jumped in the water for some knee-high bingers. After a short surf we headed off to some other surf shops in the area to make sure all the surfers in the area know about the contest and $500 in cash that they may walk away with. Ocean surf, Parrot surf, and Las Olas were all down and stoked about the event. . . but still preying for waves. Later in the day we made our way back to the washout to see if it picked up as we heard of a pressure change that may send some swell into Folly. Sure enough, it picked up a couple feet! We just had to get back into the water. A sun-down session in choppy wind swell but it was promising for Sunday.

Friday

First thing - We got a hook-up to repair the fin, Ocean Surf in Folly took on the time-sensitive project. Then we went to meet up with local Wes at Barrier Island who is helping us with the surf contest and hosting the after party which will go off! We discussed the upcoming contest and party deciding Sunday would have the best waves. 9am at the washout. We then headed back to the airport to pick up Lost surfer Nick Guilarte and videographer Shak Wazir. The meat of the HH crew was now together and ready to raise hell. Local Todd Quarles met up with us to show us around town spreading the word about the weekends events in Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. Aside from sampling drinks we set-out to invite every girl we passed to Sunday nights bikini contest. After a night on the town we retired to the hotel where we required Nick to keep his shoes and socks outside the door in the hall. I can't even begin to explain how bad these things smelled. was promising for Sunday.

Thursday

East coast get ready because the HH surf crew is back in town! Malinco and I (Mike) flew out of LAX this morning heading for Charleston. We loaded up the HH van and shot over to Folly Beach. When we open the board bag we found Malinco's brand new untouched 6'4" with a wounded fin. It was a clean brake, we just hope we can find someone to fix it in 2 days before we head north. Good news that he has an extra board.

Wednesday

Stopped by and saw Greg Elliot. I Love Ya'll.
